L’Estartit is home to the world famous Medas Islands Marine Nature Reserve, which boasts 10 dive sites of varying abilities and a wealth of marine life. Discovered by Jacques Cousteau the Islands have been a protected area for almost 25 years, and as a result are very well established. They are home to large grouper, eagle rays, barracuda, and moray eels, just to name a few. Colourful gorgonian walls, an abundance of red coral and a variety of caves and tunnels all make for very interesting diving. The dive sites vary from 6m to 30m+ and are suitable for all levels of divers; all this is just a 10 minute boat ride from the harbour of L’Estartit.
 
L’Estartit itself is a lively and pretty fishing town, in the heart of Catalonia with a good selection of shops and bars. Quality restaurants along the port offer international and local cuisine perfect, with a glass of Rioja!!

Stretching for 7 km is the golden sandy beach which has Blue Flag status and offers many other types of water sports.

We can accommodate group bookings and also single parties. Dives can be tailored to suit you or ready made dive packs are available. All equipment and insurance can be rented or purchased through the dive centre. The dive school offers a range of PADI courses, Open Water. Advanced, Rescue Diver, E.F.R. and Dive Master. The popular “Discover Scuba diving” programme is also available here to non diving members of the family who are keen to experience the underwater world as well as snorkelling excursions to the Medas Islands Marine Park on a daily basis.

Due to the mild climate the diving season runs from March to November.
